front shock ? nytro mtx

yep...thin little bottom collar...had the same problem.

FWIW...stiffer springs on front shocks makes a world of difference...replaced mine with Ti coils from KK...made a huge difference...will be doing the same with skid coil sometime soon, that stock Ti coil made the KK ride like a dumptruck...might actually be useful on the Nytro...

The shock tool is only used to loosen the 2 collers, then have some one tip it up on its side and tighten or loosen the sping and collers by hand, then use the tool to tighten the collers back up. If your trying to loosen or tighten the 2 collers at once you'll bend any tool. One acts as a "lock" coller.

My shock tool consists of a 1.5 ft piece of steal rod. Hit it with a hammer to loosen, then put on a set of gloves, man up and turn it by hand ( or jack up the front end, man down of course). Tighten back down with said tool and hammer. Used the same tool set on my dirtbike, works good.

Thanks that what I thought it looked like but someone must have really manned up on mine cuz I put the tool just on the top collar and it bent the heck out if it guess I will get the foot and a half piece of steel and loosen it that way
