What kind of appetizers are you looking for?
The High Country Snowmobile Club will be there trying to sign up some new members. We could be persuaded to bring some snacks if that will help our membership drive.
I'll check with Mike at Silverthorne Powersports to see if the beer would fly. We probably couldn't do that officially due to insurance risks, but if a beer filled cooler were to magically appear, that would be a different thing.

I'll come regardless of snacks and apps. It's just mighty close to my happy hour engagements. I'll be there!:) Been wanting to sign up for the club anyhow, and this will make it convenient for me.

Going to see if I can skip out of work early to make it.Hope to see you there.

How about some more info on the club, last I knew there was not an active club in Summit?

Pete

I believe they are a new club affiliated with CSA. They could use your support in their infancy.

Remember, you can easily sign up for any Colorado club on-line at www.snowmobilecolo.com

That's me. We are the newest club in the state association!
The club was established years ago but went dormant. I took it over from Brian Holt at Good Times last year, before the White River National Forest Travel Management Plan was up for review. I thought it was important for Summit County snowmobilers to have a voice in the Travel Management Plan.

We had a small membership last year and couldn't afford to get signed up with CSA and get the CSA club insurance until this summer.
We did accomplish our goal of formally commenting on every individual riding area in the county as part of the TMP. Our comments were submitted by our members and also included with CSA's official comments, hopefully our comments will help protect riding areas when the TMP is released.

This year we are all legit with CSA and ready to ride! We've been recruiting some new members including our business members, J&J Motorsports and Silverthorne Powersports.

We will have some group rides this year, hopefully coordinating some with demo rides from Polaris and Yamaha. We will kick some Hidden Gems greenie butt and protect our riding areas. We are also working with CSA to sponsor a group of troubled youth from Denver for a day of snowmobiling. Should be fun!

We welcome all potential new members and bring some fresh ideas on how we can make this club a real strong voice for the snowmobilers in the county.

It's surprising to see how much influence the Fat Tire Society has with the Hidden Gems Wilderness Folks and with the Summit County Commissioners.
They have such little respect for motorized users, we'd like to change that and we could use some help.

See you all tonight, we are bringing snacks!
Rich
