Friend or Foe, deciding who's a poser in the parking lot

Please tell me that this didn't happen in a snow park in front of a bunch of women/children..........:eek:

If he didn't have any paper and he just pulled up his gear like a cave-man, he's an EXTRA nasty-@ss.

Ya should've rubbed his nose in it and then whacked him on the head with a rolled-up magazine.....LOL

Happend right there at Green rock in Wyoming, he just pulled his gear back up and off we went. He was and most likely is still a nasty -@***.

I hope you guys have a lot better luck than I have had keeping your riding buddies, all of the guys I used to ride with have given it up. At my age it's tough to find someone to ride with, either they want me to break trail or they're 22 year olds who only want to highmark. I don't mind breaking trail if I get a chance to take a rest once in a while. As far as getting stuck all the time, the more tired I get the more stuck I get.

I would ride with ya, our group goes from 65down to kids as young as 14...we adjust our speed and ride to suit abilities yet we always have a good time, I am 46 and get around on a sled ok..its all fun stuff...

You'r too far away, when I get together with the guys I ride with out of Prince George BC we are all over 65, I have one guy I ride with here, he's only 60.

I always look for the local BC dude with a 14 foot sled hanging 3 foot out the back of a Datsun P/U (with the red flag of course) sporting retro purple and neon green gear

chances are they'll know the mountain VERY well!

Had some older gents in the above catagory take me some places that puckered me up lol

So true it's funny. I'm a flat lander who only gets out West once a year, so we generally stay near the trail or play in the meadows. Not much hill climbing and the like. But I used to do 3-4 ski trips out West ever year, and we would do quite a bit of back country/hike-in stuff. We always said find the the local guy (or gal) with the most duct tape and the old one-piece snow suit, and that's the guy who will take you to the chutes you want to ski. The guy with the brand-new boards and the head-to-toe North Face outfit just wants to stay near the road where folks can see him.

Ok... gotta ask. Being a mostly a non-drinking man, you won't hafta worry about me getting plowed on a ride. But the one thing I'm without is a beacon. I noticed that alot of people seem to deem a worth while rider as someone with a beacon. Does that make or break a deal? Am I going to get left in the parking lot because of that?

If you ride the steep areas and like to highmark you are a fool to ride without one.

I don't have one. I don't highmark and I stay out of areas that have a chance of sliding. It does limit to some degree where you can ride, but That's ok with me. Lots of riding area left.

Here, you travel THROUGH an avvy zone to get to the fuel drop off point. 2 kids lost their lives there last Xmas. God rest their souls. Doesn't look like a bad spot, but with Dec POW, it is.

I just ask if they are from Mn, if yes, then if their Name is RJ, if either answer is no. Ill let them teg along ;)

LMAO. You just got rep :beer;

Skidoo'n it, we def should meet in cooke some time this year. WE should get a forum ride going in cooke city! I'll start a thread :cool:
