Frickin Thieves

So I took my brother in law up to our cabin for the weekend to ride and had a great weekend and came home saturday night. When we woke up in this morning some frickin Jack @$$ had stolen his custom speakers and sub out of his back seat. They didn't take his ipod or amp or anything else just the speakers.

Then I looked at my truck and notice they had stolen my winch right of the truck. It is one of those portable ones that goes in the receiver hitch. I had it mounted on the front. Well they took the time to unbolt the thing from the frame and take just the winch. The portable carrier is still locked onto the truck. Just pisses me off that people think it is ok to take other peoples stuff. Had the cops come and gather evidence. The frickin idiots left the two wrenches they used to take the thing off with, so hopefully they can find something from that. Who knows though.

Anyway if you see a great deal on a winch without the portable frame and some of the hardware to bolt it on let me know. Also if you see someone out there selling a custom built speaker box and speakers to fit a 98 dodge diesel quad cab let me know too. FYI this happened in Riverton Utah.
Thanks
Rant over. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

That sucks, sorry. I hate thieves too! I would watch the KSL classifieds, Ebay, and Craigslist very closely...be diligent.

.

That sucks. I had my 8x20 in closed trailer stolen this summer. I was out of town for the weekend when it got stolen. They cut the locks and drove away.

I had some jack@sses steal my PIAA lights from the truck, got new one's from the insurance and all was okay, but with the theft still in my mind I found out that I had to secure the new lights.
So...I vent to the store, bougth some old type razorblades and placed them between the nut and the fender, so if a jack@ss where to try again he'd cut himself trying to locate the bolts.
10 days after the install I was getting ready for work and noticed fresh tracks in the snow...and blood:D
It worked......;)

LOL that's awesome. Thats a great idea. Now an even better one. Place a gun there and rig it so when they turn the bolt to loosen it, BANG! :D
Just dont forget about it and loosen the bolt yourself. :(

Sweet revenge.

You should have checked the emergency room for someone with severe lacerations of the fingers.

For winches, I put a small weld bead on 2 of the mounting bolts, that requires them to be cut or ground off.

the bad part about it though is if you did that in the US the thief could press charges against you and you would have to pay the bill and get fined for reckless endangerment. Just figure out who they are and catch em in a dark ally and don't let them know who you are.

I will keep my eye out here in Southern Idaho and Northern Utah for someone selling a winch that fits that description

to bad a few people can't work for something, they just take it off someone else property, sell it and probably use the money to shoot it into there arm for one more fix. Sorry to hear about that.

Just had my 60k plus truck stole last week from ATS performance Diesel near Denver, CO. At the shop for some final engine work before she was 100% complete.

Thieves stripped her, and wrecked her beyound repair, or at least beyound what I'd drive again. Cops are on it, but its been over a week and still getting insurance runaround. Guess thats what ya get when you have
30-40k in aftermarket stuff.

Hunting starts next week and no truck to haul my crap.

Good luck getting your stuff back.

This is great, but will get you in trouble. We have a guy in town that always had his pumpkins stolen around Haloween every year. He tried to get his revenge on the kids. He smeared the pumpkins with clear grease. He embeded fish hooks in the pumpkins facing down. Well the kids got a rude awakening when they grabbed them and so did he when the parent sued him. I don't remember what happened in court, but he got nailed with fines.

That is why you put 270 grains of hot lead in their head at 2500 feet per second.

Man that really sucks. I feel for ya. Hope you can recover something out of it.

It is rediculous when you do something on your own property and whether it be fish hooks or whatever and someone comes by to mess with your stuff, gets hurt and can sue you because they got hurt on your property when they were trying to destroy yours stuff in the first place. Our country is so messed up.
