Freakin' Vacation Scammers

I've been looking through the various web based travel providers for a nice spring break vacation for me and my family. I get a call a couple of nights ago from "Ramada Vacations" telling me that if I answer this simple 3 question survey, I'd be entered into a draw for a trip for 4 to florida. They invited me to their website to look at the offer. 2 days later I get a call congratulating me on "winning". In those 2 days, I had googled their website and found 100's of angry people that were took for a ride by these scammers. When I got the winning call, I asked them to answer a few questions before we went any further. She said that she could after hearing her presentation. I cut here off about 15 seconds into the deal to ask if she could send me reviews from other happy travellers and if at any time would I be forced to sit in a presentation for time shares or anything resembling a time share. She insisted that I would have to talk to a manager to get my questions answered. I then asked her why did I find so many unhappy people who fealt that they were scammed by this company. She told me that google wasn't regulated and that google was the scammers. She told me that I made a mistake by googling the website instead of simply putting the address into my web browser (like I'm some kind of idiot). I strung them along for 10 minutes or so then gave them hell for taking people for this ride and stalking people who just want to relax a little after working so hard for the entire year. She called me an idiot for not taking this wonderful deal and that she woudl be happy to "award" it to someone else. My last comment to her was that her makeup must be pretty sloppy because if she had an ounce of morals, she couldn't look at herself in the mirror to putit on straight.

Was I too hard on this employee of the scammers?

BTW these guys are in no way affiliated with Ramada and the real Ramada is trying to get these idiots to cease and desist.

..I owned a time share in cabo... but was approached by a person offering me a free fishing trip.. All I had to do was listen to the presentation on another time share... I didn't even slow down my stride dewd! No way are they gonna turn you onto a free charter fish for nothing! BTW, the only reason I had the condo was that I paid only $600 for it! A lady friend was in a very bad way financially.. I wouldn't have another one.. ain't worth it.

Ya wanna see lot'sa stuff like this.. Just wander around in Vegas and get button holed

exactly. went there on our honey moon. everywhere we went they would track you down and offer you a free day long trip to this or free show tickets for that... They were on the verge of harrassing and wouldn't leave us the puck alone. I pretty much had to snap on them before they'd leave us alone. They were the worst on fremont street.

Pissed me off... but I feel bad for people who get taken into stuff like that. Talk about a way to ruin a whole day of your vacation.

Those Comp folks are just as bad as all the mexicans out on the sidewalks passing out business cards for hookers.. At least the hookers are honest enough to admit what's going on...
