fraying track edges

My 2.6 155 track is fraying on both outside edges, i keep trimming of the fibers but they keep comming back, has anybody else have this issue.

Ya all my sleds have done this. After a few hundred miles I hit the edge of the track with a propane torch and burn the frays off. Super quick and seems to stop the fraying too.

This thread comes up every year and nothing ever comes of it....nothing to worry about as long as track is aligned properly

Both of ours have done this as well. I burned the frayed ends off both tracks but they re-appeared within a ride or two. I might try it again when I summer-ize them and then see what happens next season. Those frayed ends bug the crap out of my wife!

My older 2.4'' barely had any freys. My new 2.6'' is freyed all the way around on both sides. the little rubber end peels itself right off exposing the freys. burnt it with a torch, came back after a week of riding. Otherwise like the track but it's ripping itself apart...

Its two little aluminum straps holding the bolts for the bar by your footwell. They are inside the tunnel and they are sharp little suckers. I took them out and ground the sharpness off. I wish I would have caught it right away.
