i am finally getting some Fox Zero Pros from a fellow snowester sometime this week..

they have the stock white spring installed, and i pretty much only know that they recommend the black 110lb spring for them for heavier riders..

i am 255, 260ish geared up..

will the 110 spring be good, and is there a special revalving done to make them even better or no?

been running floats for 2 years on my other sled, never ridden with zeroz before.

and WHERE DO YOU BUY THE 110lb SPRING FROM (how much are they??)

Hey Sean, I have talked to a few guys and I think Caryls is the place to get them. Glad you got your socks i'm still waiting for pictures:face-icon-small-dis

Sean,

Where did the person that you bought the shocks from get the shocks? Were they made/sold for an IQ-RMK chassis?

Front ride height is the most improtant measurement, according to Mark Holz, when you are setting up your sled... This is where preload comes into play.

I'm a big fan of the multi rate springs and no sway bar. Z-broz can set you up but the springs will probably cost more than the shocks.

There should be enough adjuster threads... if you are on a budget... maybe a set of Assault springs that someone took off.

What A-arms and width front end are you mounting thes onto?

What is the EXACT Center to center measurement of your Zero Pros fully extended?

When was the last time they were serviced?

What rider weight were they valved for?

You can get the serial number off of the shocks and email the numbers Chris at Carls...performance@carlscycle.com... He should be able to tell you what they were made for and the price to revalve them.

Did you personally measure the c to c on these shocks?

You will probably want to have them revalved your your 900, your riding weight and style... they will service them at the same time... this is more important than the springs IMO.

I'm starting to think it may just be eisier and cheaper to buy them from Carls brand new.

Often times... this is true...Depends on the condition and valving... that is why buying something simialr from another sled will most times NOT give you better performance than the stock shocks.

I think a revalve with service is about 100 per shock. It all depends on what the shock is to start with... The serial number should tell you that.

Springs are usually about $100 per pair for standard steel single rate up thru $280 for triple rate steel thru $500 for triple rate Titanium...

I'm sure the shocks are fine... always good to have service done if more than one season on them.

Good luck Sean.
