Does anyone have any experience with this helmet and a specific breath deflector?

Dennis Kirk has one that is this model specific for sale for $10. Anyone have experience with it?

I remember an older post about an aftermarket breath deflector for this helmet but I have searched and can't find it.

Any help?

Here is a pic of helmet for reference.

I have the same helmet only the Black/Grey Encore Stewart Replica and my girlfriend has the Limited Edition Magenta and white one. We both like them alot. Best helmet I have owned. Although all I buy are Fox helmets.

But I have tried on all the other brands, and I do like the fly helmets ESPECIally the new ones but i would still go V3 with the breath deflector.

BTW do a search there are a few places ( I got mine at motosport.com) that you can get the helmet itself (if you haven't purchased it yet) very cheap! I got mine from them for $175. I believe the one in the picture you have is the new graphics though. Mine was last years but didn't care. Still the same helmet.

You will not be dissapointed with it either.

I used to have one of those helmets. Loved the helmet, but thought the breath deflector was somewhat inadequate. It fit in the helmet nice, but didn't seal your face very well. And made it somewhat painful removing your helmet. It left a pretty good space between your goggles and the breath guard. I think maybe some of the larger framed Scott goggles may have worked better, but I love my Spy's. I ended up using a HJC cl-x5 breath deflector. I had to put some velcro in the nose area of the helmet and it worked great.

let me know what you come up with. i too just bought one, nice and light and e bay had em for $150. note;if you get one on line, keep in mind, i measured on the high side of a med. so i went to the large, and its still pretty snug. hope it breaks in a little....mm

Yeah, I purchased an XL off ebay yesterday. I am hoping it fits. I am thinking my plan is to purchase goggles first and then see if I think the Fox deflector will be big enough or not. I remember the old post about this saying something about that HJC deflector working well. Anybody have more insight.
