fox shocks

i call b.s. on that, maybe if you put some 50pound weights on each side of the sled, then it would dive into the snow

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, have run floats on a Rev and have them all the way around on my 380 lb XP-TNT longtrack.

Good Luck

fox floats

Im still searching for answers...Great looking shocks but when you tighten the limiters on my new m1000..the rear fox float can't push the sled back up..Even the dealer was lost in confusion..

can't any of these guys find the the time to put up an avatar ??

ps Fox floats rock ...

floating fox's

I have run fox floats on my last three sleds, now on an M8. I rebuilt fox shocks for customers all year long, fox floats are as reliable as shocks can get, they are way less suseptible to water/snow/mud contamination than most other gas shocks and are low maintanance.

They are not the same as a spring shock performance wise. If you can't tell the difference, need to pay closer attention. Check the world of racing sleds and bikes, you will find very few being used ??

they can be similar to removing your sway bar........some guys hate that, some guys love that. I have two M sleds I ride, one with the floats one without, they both have their virtues. Are they work spending $500 on as an aftermarket add on? They save weight, they have some BLING value, they work well, if you charge around straight ahead through the bumps and ride like a mad dog stright up the hills they work and work well. Donwhill off camber, and rat racing......some complaints.

Do it.

I pulled the swaybar and put Float 2's on my 07 600 RMK. Highly recommend it. I'm running 120psi and the front is firm and doesn't roll on the trail, and sidehilling is incredible. Plus, saved a bunch of weight. Luv'em. :beer;

shocks

I agree with most --floats up front are pretty good but i dont think they
should be in the rear...I rode a 2 yr old rev and it ate the bumps..way smoother than my cat. Forgot to look and see what it had for a suspension. The progressive 2-3 variable rate spring coilovers seem to be workin for some of the hardcores..and no huff and puff on the mountain.
Anyone know what a FLOAT 1 is rated to for max weight and the piggyback--- is it just another cylinder with an adjustable 2 way valve?

air shocks?

From what i am seeing, if you dont have the $ for the evolx or whatever they call the piggyback shocks, you dont gain any performance aside from weightloss, and I guess guys who go big can pump them way up for bottoming resistance. They just dont hold a candle to a good ol triple spring rate remote resi units.
