Fox shock question

First set of Fox shocks for me so this may be a stupid question. I just purchased a pair of Fox ski shocks that were last years stock at the dealer. I installed them & it seems to me that they are not charged ot have lost their charge. The compress & stay there. I cranked the springs way up and they still do not rebound unless I lift the front end. Do they not come charged? do they lose their charge while sitting on the shelf?:confused:

They can loose their charge.

Easiest way to see if they are charged is to take the spring off of one. If you can push the shaft in easily then they aren't charged enough. If you push it in and it stays in then they aren't charged at all.

Would the dealer have the means to re-charge them??? I got a heck of a deal on them. New in the box but last years display model. I will call them if they are open today & see.
Thanks

Yes, most shops have the necisarry equipment to charge shocks, etc. They should take care of you.
