Fox qsl & qs3 mtn cat suspention setup

I'd start with what your owners manual says and adjust on preference from there. If you are a bigger rider (200+) adjust up 5-10psi to start with. Some changes with the air chamber/negative spring were made on these compared to previous generations so the old proclimb data probably won't be optimal anymore. Curious to see what others are finding with these in the field compared to past models.

I agree and am curious as well. I’m new to these shocks. I suppose there’s only the one pressure chamber to be able to adjust the other is nitrogen? Correct me if I’m wrong

Picked up my sled today, dealer told me they set them up to Cats specs, and that typically they are set way to high unless you are 200+ Also Typically to much pressure in front shocks

You also have to decide if you want them to ride better on the trail, or handle better in the deep snow. They are two different spring setups for those situations.

I assume the switch only controls the damping by-pass. Would be nice to know what people are starting and ending up with.
200 lbs w/gear I'm starting with:
FS-70 lbs (85 lbs dealer settings) (60 lbs on the ER)
Position 3 Trail
Position 1 MTN

Rear no change from dealer settings
RTF - 35lbs (55lbs on the ER)
Position 2

RTS - 150 (150 lbs on the ER)
Position 2

Haha I have been waiting for this thread to start. Anyway we can make it a sticky so it stays at the top of the thread?
It's Going to be a great on going topic throughout the season as we get seat time on this suspension and as the conditions change.

First short ride done! Factory setup. And i like it ! Very ice ground and shocks work perfectly.. Little adjusting and ride on ! Very good winter coming.

Maybe post your riding area, conditions and what kind of riding you were doing so we have an idea of what setups might work in what conditions.

I put the QSL on my 16 in the rear ended up 170psi in #2. rider 215 W/O gear. found at 150 psi under hard landings would bottom out 1-2 time a trip.
really like you can put it on 1 and ride wheelies all day or under climbs put it on 3 and keep the front planted. most of the day was in 2 tho.

I found a chart last year for the evols. Used this to set up my 18 MC sled this year and it seems to work pretty well. I tried attaching the pictures so hopefully they worked.

Okey we all gave pretty good idea what the pressure is gonna be.
But what setting are u guys using on the small chamber? 1-3 ?
Skis
Front track
Rear track

Skis 1
Front track 2
Rear track 1
I only have one ride in so far, so I'm still playing around with some of the settings/pressures.

Front Shocks 80 PSI
Setting 2 on semi rough trails in and out and 1 at elevation.

Front Skid Shock 50 PSI
Setting 2 Always

Rear Skid shock 165 PSI
Setting 2 for semi rough trails in and out and for riding at elevation. Lockout whenever possible weather/visibility and riding conditions permitting climbing.

The lockout feature works incredibly well make use of it. I made several passes on different slopes and snow conditions switching between number 2 setting and Lockout. It's very impressive and had me grinning all weekend.

This suspension package is sweet. Looking forward to doing more testing but this is where I am at right now and very happy.

I'm 190 lbs without gear.

I like 180 in rr skid position 2
185 no gear
trail and tree riding
Have not played with the rear yet. little softer than stock
