I was doing a project comparing the changes in damping due to temperature and also because it is an "air shock" the spring rate will change due to that same temperature change unlike other coil sprung dampers. Which also resulted in linearity or non linearity of damper adjustments
We were optimizing the damping of the formula student car at the time and in anticipation of purchasing a sled decided to add these into the mix
However with the Ohlins Twin Tube shocks we did notice a small area that was un-damped during the change from compression to rebound (~1mm shaft travel) Change over between the separate circuits in the piggyback?
It was also interesting to see how the differing types of damping adjustment would effect damping, is it a linear change across the whole adjustment range or does the effect of the adjustments wander depending on how many turns (or clicks) in or out you were.
