lookin at getting a set to drop weight and improve the ride.. i ride a 2005 highmark 1000 with all the updates and now FINALY it runs great... i dont do alot of hard trail ridding.. but everyonce and while i do.. how are these float 2's im a big guy, about 250 lbs... are they worth the $600 brand new from my father inlaw?

The floats are only gonna save 4 or 5 lbs compared to stock. The hpg shocks you have can be valved and rebuilt to your weight and riding style, and they provide the same adjustability as the Float2. I have a chrome plated exhaust system complete with y-pipe,and HPS can that will save 19lbs, and I will throw in a set of Bikeman high compression heads as well as a set of Boyseen rage cages for 600.00. Now you have gained approx. 16hp as well as lost nearly 5x the weight loss of the Floats, all for the same price.

I have installed the float 2's on my wifes sled 600 Summit and I have the Evol R's on my XRS. They flat out work and once you set the pressure chambers to your preference, away you go. Trail they take away those sharp jolts you get through your handle bars. Boondocking they provide softer landings and just better overall performance. My 2 cents they are well worth the money and also it helps to work with Tom's Snowmobile in California about any valve related questions and set up. To the guy that started the post weight wise I am not to far behind you and I am running no specific valving.
