i heard that fox float or any shocks with air are subject to leaking when shaft gets a little mark or anything do they need covers on them how durable are they
 
I have a pretty good gowge in one of my Floats 2's. I have had no issues loosing pressure

The floats do not leak when you get a nick in them. The part that holds air is internal to the seal / shaft. The seal / shaft is not meant to hold the air in, just to keep the insides clean...

The walker evans air shocks on the other hand, will leak if you nic the outside part of the shaft.

That is what I have read / heard. I have had some niks in my floats and never had a pressure leak..
