fox evol r's on pro

hi all,
just put on a pair of fox evol r's on my '14 pro. look killer and exactly what i was wanting. my question is what are people running for this sled and pressures. i do pretty aggressive back country with the occasional 15'-20' drop. I've been reading and seems like the average pressure seems to be 60psi in main and 150+ in evol chamber. i do want a little more plush of a ride so i put them on the sled with 55psi in main and 125psi in evol chamber (added 2 psi to main on clutch side).

any input from anyone? winter is not looking well here in Alaska so i won't have the full season to adjust them perfectly like usual.

thanks!

that is the best way they fit, also gives complete access to all ports and the rebound control while also protecting the evol chamber from trees and other hazards. i read up and people have said they these will work either way (and if Burandt sleds have them upside down than maybe its not too bad for the shock :noidea:)

60/120 is where I was told to start. More drops you may want more in the evol. I don't have any ride time on mine yet so I cannot help you much. As for mounting they have to be mounted reservoir down if the rebound knob is not on the chamber side. 2015 they changed them so you can run them with the chamber up and out.

thats what i thought, so mounting with the evol chamber down is correct for the pro's :face-icon-small-hap i have also not ridden mine yet (just installed last night) but hoping to make a trip thursday if my buddies sled gets fixed. if we are able to do that ride i will give some feed back for anyone else running this setup

also, anybody running these, how much sag you have on the front? mine currently is about 1/2" and another 1" with me on the sled (1-1/2" total with me on it). any inputs?

You are fine with them the way you have them mounted, that was how there were originally build for the pro. I have the longer 11/12 Evols, so I can't help you on the sag. 60/115 for the valving I have was were I started on the fronts. I've run as low as 55/80 when the snow is hard.

the stock length on this shock was for a 2012 pro, but the guy i bought them from had them custom cut and valved at Andy's to fit the stock 2014 pro.

what is your riding weight for the 60/115 pressure?

thanks!

with the swaybar out, I have found 70/185 works or me. any less than 70 and it seems to sag a little. any less than 185 and I bottom out on the big ones
