Split the secondary apart and found this mess. What causes this? Sometimes the belt sqeels, wonder if this is why. The two halve defiantly don't sit flat on each other.

What sled is that off? Doesn't look like a Team.

Delete that looked at the bigger pic lol. What's the washer look like? Had the same thing start to happen on an old 98 when I ran big springs on a Doo. Doubled up on the washer with a light wipe of grease between the two and it seemed to cure it.

I just did a clutch kit at 1400 miles and found similar results, however not a full 360 pattern but more 180*. My only guess is inconsistent pressures from the spring. The gold cup was also worn a bit from the deflection adjuster.

Pretty sure every team looks like that from the steel washer for the deflection adjustment.

Yup, they all do it. As much as I hate grease in clutch, I now grease that center washer every 500 miles, seems to be helping with the wear. Plus I no longer hear that washer rattling like I did before.

Yep, crappy but normal. The washer being pushed on one side from the deflection bolt causes it to not ride flat on the surface. having more than 1 deflection bolt would certainly help.

I'd like to see TEAM come out with a teflon coated washer and add 2 more deflection studs.

I'll second that!

If you really wanted 2 deflection bolts, it would be pretty easy to drill and tap. IMO, it's not a big enough deal to even give a second thought to.
