Forward/reverse rmk problem

Has anyone heard of 06 7000 rmk sometimes getting stuck between forward& reverse? It happens when changing the reverse button on the handle bars, and grinds like gears slipping. Sounds like it Is coming from the clutch side of motor. Any ideas on how to fix it.
 
You should not be getting stuck between forward and reverse, as when you push the button, the engine switches rotation. The secondary clutch helix has a notch cut in it to "hook" when you put it in reverse. When did you last have the clutches off?
 
The secondary clutch may not be properly seating in the reverse notch in the helix... have a good look at the secondary clutch and see if anything is binding. Install 2 delrin washers under the spring cup and be sure the helix in an "ER" with a notch for reverse. If your helix does not have a notch, or if the clutch is not seating into it, the belt will slip and make a grinding noise as the clutch rapidly opens while in reverse.
