If anyone knows RIDIN4FUN (Anthony) here in Florence/Lolo, Montana, he was in a NASTY car crash Friday morning.
He got hit head on by a (alleged) tweaker felon in a stolen car at 9:30 in the morning just north of Lolo. The tweaker got out of the car and tried to run away down the railroad tracks ("signaling for help" as the news story states, is not really what witnesses are saying). His leg had the same injury as Anthony (I have NO idea how he was able to get on foot and run away).
Anthony was hurt pretty badly, but as "Mr. Calm, Cool and Collected" as he is, he managed to make three phone calls (and call for help) with blown out vertebrae and a torn off ankle that was pinned up against his dash.
After a four hour surgery, they were able to reattach his ankle. He will be off of it for up to 3 months before he even is allowed to put it on the floor. It was REALLY nasty.
He's tough as nails and was in pretty good spirits yesterday when I saw him. His sense of humor is still rock solid. LOL
He is ONE HELL of a guy and has gone to great lengths to do SO MANY things for other people in need along the way.
He's got a new sled coming this fall. I hope he gets to ride it. He's a fantastic rider.
If you know him or need more information, post here or PM me.
Thanks.
