Is anyone running a bully Dog GT or any of the other programmers out there on the Ford 6.8? Is there any truth to getting increased fuel mileage? I have on 04 and only get about 11 miles to the gallon and 8 when towing about 7,000 lbs. I’m tired of the poor fuel mileage. Any advice on programmers would be appreciated.

I had a 99 with a diablosport, cat delete, 3 inch single and a cai, the only thing that changed was noise, and a bit of throttle response. That being said, if you are using high ethenol count fuel you may want to change to a cooler spark plug (ngk tr65ix) to cool the combustion charge, too much heat will increase the oxygen value seen by the o2 sensor, the factory computer being that old of a model was not designed to operate with ethanol and cannot fully compensate for the difference.

Thanks for that info on the cooler plugs. I have another thread here talking about the V 10. I have been asking Q's about the older V10.
