Is the reason that the tow hooks are so strong is because most of the time it's GETTING towed?

hahaha, yea that is a good point....
i know the one's on my f-350 are strong enough to yank 2 chevy trucks out of the mud at the same time and where not talking a couple inche's ,they where up to the axle's an then some!and buy the way it is possible to snap a 6'' 50,000 pound strap with a pick up truck.
Yeah and I have superpowers too......pfffffffffff.
how did i know that some smart azz that dosnt know sh!t about rpm's and mph's would say some thing!that is why they call them snap strap's so you can take off from bumper to bumper and giver hell! you will generate alot of pulling force.

I wish my jeep had those, last week I twisted my front ones when I was draging some farm equipment. This week I bent the rear bumper getting pulled out of a snow drift.

tow hooks? have you seen the 09's they come with heated tailgates!
