Ford Door Ajar Sensor---

Door Ajar Sensor for driver door....Where is it?? Have a 01 Ford, and the sensor is out of control,the Dope light and dash alarm is going on and off in rapid fire !! a bit like a strobe light on the way too work tismorning..........

I had mine malfunction this summer... it is annoying for sure.... you can slam the door as hard as you want and it still thinks it's open

Best cure, shoot some WD-40 in the door latch, the sensor is built into it and gets sticky over time due to dust.... I did this and have not had a problem since (6 months).

Lube Job

Same as 94guy, I have a 02 Excursion, had the same problem with the drivers door and the rear door, sprayed some Red Grease in all the latches & the lights stay off. Wife has a 02 Lightning had the same problem, lubed the latches & presto - all is good.
