Ford 6.0 diesel, who all got there lawsuit letter?

So I was one of the guys that poured a boat load of cash into the ole 6.0 Ford back in the day. I get the mail and there is some lawsuit saying we can get 275 for each injector and so much for the turbo.

Ford could of easily avoided this if they would of followed GM's strategy. If you remember GM had the chronic injector failures and extended warranty on those years. That surely kept them from this very type of lawsuit.

It will most likely be a drop in the bucket for us end users and the lawyers will get most of it I assume. But hey if we get anything its better than nothing!!!

It wasn't Ford's fault it was navistar's problem they got to the point they didn't want to warranty them for ford anymore. It was navistar's motor not Ford's. That's why ford no longer need them and started building their own motors.

Same old thing Fords filtration systems and Navistar engine.
Back and forth on which one is to blame.
I bought a Ford not international so fix the problem.
Every time a injector and they say dirty fuel .
How is this possible with two filters . Sounds like a filtration problem?
Never ends and owner pays.
Bull crap.
Had a few Fords and same thing every time and others are no better.

ya I got one.

But I have only had 1 injector replace on my 2005 6.0 in 100,000 miles, and that was under warranty.
I have not had any other problems with the motor at all.

It's Ford's fault....no reason to defend them. They provide the end product to the consumer. The average person has no idea who or what navistar is and they have no reason to. The engine could be built by Burger King and the end user would never know or care as long as it works.

In the case of the 6.oh no....I think it actually may be been. The amount of money people spent on those things is gross....I hope you get some back Himark.

Actually it was fords problem, but it was the epa's fault. Ask any place that works on busses or larger trucks that used the exact same 6.0 psd. They didn't have 10% the problems that ford did. The issue is the engine was made for a medium/heavy duty application, not light duty, which falls into a completely different emissions category. The 6.4 was worse, and these two engines are the reason that ford and international split.

I work on commission and am a parts manager at our local ford shop so I happen to love both the 6.0 and 6.4:face-icon-small-ton
We can point fingers all day long but it won't do any good.
