for sale threads

In the past snowest has been lenient on the posting of for sale items in the Hawk section. Due to agreements with paying advertisers it is necessary to move all for sale threads to the swapmeet. I will be moving existing threads to the Snowmobile- Snowhawk section. This includes myself, so please use the swapmeet. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me via PM. Paying advertisers have some room, they are able to post, sales and special offers in the general forums. Posts from paying advertisers will not be moved.

I'm going to have to ask you to put the "Hawk Shop" thread back to the hawk forum as it is pretty much "Hawk" specific. Also, I could not find anything for "sale" in that thread, just parts that were being "made".

what a jumbled mess this is for the hawk forum now if a person wants to keep an eye on parts available one has to look not even in parts but through misc. sleds for sale ,how does that make sense,and how many people will post under different categories of parts for sale ,and how many will post under misc. sleds.would it not be more appropriate to post under misc. parts for sale??was mentioned that that section was closeing anyway ?? why has snow west been the only forum for hawks,why has no one been motivated to start a hawk specific forum yet,I would happily pay for a subscription to such ,rather than get lost in silly rules on snowwest,the hawk forum is the only real value to me on snowwest,and these guidlines are lowering the value here......long live the hawk with or without snowwest.....ohh and I think we should all participate in a moment of silence for the loss we as hawkers have taken with these new rules ,or at least stop myself from checking the forum 3 times a day...

Its a business decision..
Snowest is mealy catching up with the times.. ANY forum needs revenue to continue to grow, as does a business.. for years Snowest has been a free for all..( one of the things I have liked about it) Try going to other sites like TT,KTM Talk, etc and post parts for sale and see what happens...Its one thing for an individual to sell parts on a forum, quite another for a biz to do it..I agree that we need a swap meet section for the Hawks. By the # of post here that should be a no brainer...
Why would an advertiser pay for adds etc when they can do it for free??
I have looked into starting a single ski forum,and own several domain names.. But I dont think the #s are there to support it.
If you do, I can set you up...But you will find yourself in the same sit. as Snowest and needing to modarate your forum..

This is a general announcment to inform members where to look for Hawk related for sale items. I will see what I can do about getting a Hawk specific area in the swapmeet.

There is now a Snowhawk specific forum in the swapmeet. It is under snowmobiles- Snowhawk.
