Lush: You come in from the top or bottom? Been 2 or 3 yrs since I poked around there, but last time I did, the logging company had really tried to close it off. I got in from below, but couldn't get over the top that day.....

IN the 70's and 80's, I be there 2 or 3 times a month, was a good trail B4 the logging....

We rode those slag piles almost every weekend back in the early '90's. From what I remember it was when that TV show (Northern Exposure) got popular that all the area started to close up.

top..

family cabin top of pine loc so ride right out the back door literally.. almost all single track there. yeah that trail coming from bottom can be rough if i remember right...

Great pic, I didn't make it up there this year. Spent to much time working on the shop so I wouldn't be doing it during snowmobile season. Gotta have prioritys.:beer;

Very cool video, thanks for sharing. I sure miss riding that area. After watching the vid I had to bust out the old photo album.
Here's a pic of Grand Daddy back in the early 90's.

I got nailed just after crossing the Teanaway. Tried to nicely talk my way out of it. My plate and cheesy mirrors on the Ole KTM wasnt gonna cut it. Tried to play it off that I thought I was at the end of Bear Ck RD, "Dual sporting".

Just when you thought the '85 CR250 could concour all, there was the Widowmaker, with approach whoops that would swallow a bike whole!!:D

the big rock sure looks familiar, we first went there in 1971, I was on a hodka and the kids were on a steen ( how many of you remember thoes?) wife was on a small honda. later on the next year we tracked a cougar up to the north end of it............we road that area for over 25 years, I think we got out while the getting was good, they were just starting to clamp down on the riding when we moved,,,,,,,,,,,,,:face-icon-small-hap

I had a cougar go between me and my buddy when we were riding in the vally just below the rock a couple years ago. We see his sign up in that erea all the time.
