Football already?

So today was my first scrimmage against some of the better teams in our league. We have been practicing for 2 weeks now. School out on the 20th. There's only one week we don't have football all summer.

When did you guys start practicing?

We were not allowed by state regulations to play as a team in contact or not under a coaches direction unless it was something like weight training or passing league. We formed the first lines at captain's practices in August. Full pads midway through the month.

We have a full contact game next Tuesday. I really smacked some of those kids today. They were tiny compared to me!

And football is weak, don't even complain about playing too much. Soccer is year round there is no off season for that! Soccer players are in way better shape than a majority of football players! I just wish that more athletically gifted guys played soccer instead of choosing to play football. Our highschool team could have been amazing if we could have kept some guys from playing football.

Says the guy who just wished that he could have had some of those same guys playing for his weak ankled European acting game that somehow is referred to as a sport? Sigh. I need some reason to watch a sport and soccer just does not provide that...even the clock goes the wrong way!

That's because no one wants to spend their money buying ads to air during a game that no one watches

Well guys, I'm honestly shocked.

The day before our first game I broke my hand. That's another story.

We lost that first game. After that we hadn't lost a game until we played Federal Way (43-0).

Last Friday we played Eastmont (Wenatchee) and won 20-7. That was Eastmont's first play off game and our second.

Right now we'll be playing Mead who is ranked 3rd in state. I didn't expect us to make it so far, honestly.

We'll see how it goes.

It's week 12 and I've dressed for only 3 weeks. 0 playing time.... I feel like Rudy.
