Foot pegs of choice.

Looking for foot peg reports, the good, bad and the economy.

2-3x a day on my first trip I had to get out a wrench and smash off the mountain off ice on the pegs. The pipe side is the worst by far. Stock pegs seemed to have ok grip just ice build up that I could not stomp off eventually.

I second the fastway adventure pegs... awesome for snowbiking... I've had them packed with snow and ice and a couple quick kicks and they are clear.

I found keeping my feet on the pegs makes a big difference in snow build up. I know, putting your foot down is a hard habit to kick but putting your foot down just before a big rock or stump will help cure the habit! And putting your foot down really doesn't do anything in a couple feet of snow.

Long time rider I rarely put my feet down but exhaust side peg seemed to grow ice anyway. I will see how the next few rides go but will probably through something different on.

Is this still without your Engine jacket?
If so, a jacket will solve a little bit of the problem. That being said, fast way adventure pegs are really the way to go.

A buddy told me you can stretch and zip tie on a bicycle inner tube over the foot pegs and it will keep ice off. He says he's still got good traction on his boots cause the teeth will poke through.

fastway adventure

fastway adventure buy them once buy them for life! Take them off when u sell and put them on your new bike! They adapt to different bikes with a fit kit for like 20 bucks to answer the above question

I applied custom anti ice modifications (shout out to mtn-doo), nothing like cutting a 300 dollar peg! Works great though!

rubber deal

I saw the post about inner tube over your pegs ? Gotta try that.

One of the best simple little sno bike mods I've tried. 3 rides, works great, just forget about snow sticking, I put the tubes on older fastway pegs. Used 21" motorcycle tube, slid it over the peg, took a soft faced hammer and tapped each stud up through the rubber, in the trees, through the buck brush, still on and no slippery snow sticking. Looks weird, works great.

aluminum anything attracks snow from afar..........always.

this is the best solution I have used in 5 years on the horse.
