how long is the sledding season around Mammoth Lakes, CA

Depending on the snow year we've ridden as late as early july, but typically end around may. I'm not big on jumping so when it stops snowing I don't ride much. This year I started riding in NOV, but some friends I know got out late oct.

I went through Mammoth last July about the 7th or 9th or so...We came from LA, up through Bishop...up through Reno to Boise.
The ski hill has just closed a couple days before that. CRAZY. I liked it there. Nice area.

beautiful day. i'm stuck in nebraska right now for the holidays wishing i was back out west watching everyone's videos dreaming about a place i would go ride. mammoth lakes is top the list right now.

Which one did you buy? I think they have like 5 different models... Also, which mounts do you use? How easy is it to use? Uploading to video to your computer?

I got the helmet kit I believe, they didn't have all these kits when I bought it over the summer

Basically, I used the sticker mount to attach it to the top of my helmet right behind the visor. In an early video I tried attaching it to my riser just under the handle bars but it kept flopping around. I'd like to get a few more mounts and try some different angles. (like the suction cup one)

As far as easy of use. It's pretty straight forward just turn it to video, hit the button on the top 1 beep for on, 2 beeps for off. The only downside is there is no screen on it so you don't really know what angle you are shooting until you review the video, but unfortunately all helmet cams are like that. On the plus side they are very wide angle so you get a very wide field of view.

In terms of getting on the computer it's pretty easy. I typically just plug the device in via a usb cable and copy the files down manually. There is some software that comes with it, but I use adobe premier (not needed there are cheaper options available.)

Uploading it is simple as well, once you edit your video just output it as H.264 to compress the size down, then I push it up to youtube or vimeo.

sweet vid's I'm waiting for more snow all are snow is froze up right now,oh well it's making a base at least.I noticed your on an 07 800 r doo have you had any motor issues with it.I'm riding a 011 e-tec 800 154 this year and it's a dream.

That is not true. Drift innovation has a couple different helmet cams out that have a screen on them. They are also a very good camera.
