Flywheel swap

I needed to replace the flywheel and stator on my 03 polaris 800 and I was wondering if my parts from my 00 rmk would work. They do not appear to be interchangeable according to polarisman.com but i was told that the stator was the same. Any help would be appreciated.

There's a 4* difference in flywheels if I remember correctly.

That diff can be made up by using a 3 1/2* offset key sold by Hi-perf Engineering and others (www.hi-perf.com)

Stator should be the same,?? perhaps someone else could chime in to confirm

stators are the same if it is a 00 800, you can get away with using a flywheel off of a 02 but not off of a 00-01. I tried it and it would not run. but the 02 is a 14 degree flywheel and it will work and the 03 is a 18 degree.

the off set key won't work on the 00-01. has to be a 02 flywheel

Could someone tell me if there is a difference between an '02 800 flywheel and the '04/'05 800? I have a line on a good '02 but want to use it on an '04.

they are different. the 02 is 14 degree and 03-05 is 18 degree. it will run and I have heard they run good but not sure how it actually affects it I have a pile of the 02 flywheels
