Fly wheel HELP !!!

Cant find any post inner cover on the flywheel cut all my wires. what are people doing to fix this problem?? Thought about tig welding the ring on there so it wont come out .. You think to much heat on magnets???? thanks craig

i chipped all the old epoxy out, and used a loctite brand metal epoxy to re-glue the ring back in. my magnets stayed in place. the only epoxy that cut loose was that holding the ring!

If the magnets came loose you're screwed- otherwise you can epoxy it back together. Your stator is probably about shot anyway so I wouldn't bother trying to splice the wires back together. Way too critical a component to "band aid". Used ones are a real gamble also. I've heard RMS stator doesn't touch wiring harnesses, so I would reccommend a buying a brand new one. A little cheaper from Babbit's but they take a long time to ship. The sleeve seperates from the stator when it gets coolant dripped on it. Extend your coolant bottle overflow hose so it doesn't happen again. I dremel tooled a little extra space in the case to tuck the harness in a little farther from the flywheel- its a little tight in there!
