Flow rites

probably not. yamaha spends a ton of time and money getting the stock air flow just right. if you had some laying around you could put them in but other wise, i wouldnt spend money on them. if you want increased air flow buy a turbo:)

boost is the only way to go!!!

Better air flow????? I've had mine submerged under the snow more than not and not ever as much as a burp out out of it. The Nytro has enough air flow don't waste your time trying to make it better............
I would love to ride where you do where you have air flow issues...

Has anybody tried putting a couple of flow rites in the top of a 08 nytro air box and did help with air flow?:beer;

I feel what you are saying. And as always on SW, a huffer under the hood solves ALL of the world's problems!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I also understand that not everyone can afford one.

It stands to reason that opening up the airbox would help, as the opening area of the airbox looks to be about half of what the throttle body openings are. I am going to give it a shot, but I think that rather than the lid, the place to put them is near the factory inlet.

I've been told you can do it, but you definately want it where it wont take on any snow or water, I'm considering modding my air box on my apex , but I havent got brave enough yet, dealer says be careful of steam, it will kill your horsepower faster than hot air or no air. It will also lean out the sled a little too which is good as long as it's not too lean, which means an o2 sensor and maybe power commander III for fuel mapping, not sure if I want to open up that can of worms yet. I just got my under tunnel exhaust working great last year,and I dont want any more down time! I'd be interested in hearing from any one who has done any air box mods though...
