Flipping Rear Track Shock

Question.... I have a 2016 800 with a 3" track. I would like to put boggie wheels on the inside of the rails by the rear track shock. However, the air chamber for the shock doesn't allow that. Has anyone tried to flip the Walker Evans rear clicker shock? Will it work?

Wheels fit fine on the outside.
It will hinder side hills in marginal snow.

Flipping the shock gains you nothing except the other side has the resivior in the way.

Fyi there isn't enough solid aluminum there to mount a wheel set to anyways.

There is no air in the resivior. (It's not an air shock)
Just oil.

I guess I should have been more clean. I meant mouthing the shock right side up with the res side to the top of the skid instead of having it mounted upside down at the rails.

Hits the main cross shaft.

Plus the eyelets are wider spacing on the bottom.

See how the shock eyelet wraps around the cross shaft?
