FLATLANDER NOW READY FOR THE WEST!!

Here's an interesting story... I live in WI and only get to the west 3 times over the winter, yet think about it all year round. This summer I found a wrecked 2013 1100T limited on a auto salvage auction, and ended winning the bid at $3800. Just buying it from images, I thought it could be pretty messed up. Went over to Sioux Falls and got it, lo and behold it only needed an upper a-frame and all the hood stuff, and showed 183 miles. So I've been reading these Forums a long time and Evo looked like the ticket. I called Jim and found out his facility is only 60 miles from my home. LET'S GET STARTED I TOLD HIM! HERE'S THE STUFF:

EVO super chute with Vmap and launch control - 300hp on 100ll
Evo water to air intercooler
Evo exhaust blankets everywhere on the 3" exhaust
TCL delete stage 3
Team Tied secondary with Evo helix
C3 belt drive
Diamond S hood
complete Kmod skid and raptor front shocks
3" CE track
B+M running boards
Simmons Gen III skis
Skinz spindle forward front suspension

Many other details I didn't list, and I can't wait to pull the trigger on this New Year's day in Colorado. I do want to say I have been around performance stuff all my life, and all the parts purchased for this build are nothing but First class, well thought out, and easy for the average guy to install. Thank you Jim for all your help on this.

Well that was easy haha. There are a lot of jealous 1100 owners right now. That is quite a build list, very few will ever experience what you have assembled. Best of the best. Congrats.

Sweet build

You have assembled a great sled that will not disappoint. EVO's products are top notch, be sure to post some feedback on the handling of that bad boy with the Skinz front end.

Great Job with the build Jon! This thing looks even sweeter in person! You should love that skinz front end. Be sure to let us know what you think of it once you get some mountain miles on it!

i put that skinz front end on after everything else was done, it was immediatley much easier tipping the sled up in the garage, should be just right for sidehilling,

Where you riding New yrs day man? I'd love to see that thing RIP!!! Looks like a sweet machine for a cheesehead!!!:face-icon-small-hap

we'll be staying in steamboat springs, going to ride with Jim on thursday then figure something out for friday/saturday. first time in CO. also be in west yellowstone the week of jan. 12th..

Bigjonk. . . LOL on the name.

That sled is going to rock. I am interested to hear how the skinz front suspension does.

You sure did not leave anything on the table. Hopefully you have a camera and share some pics/video.

Looks like a great project, especially for the cost to build. There are a few things on there you didn't mention on your list.

curious about what air cleaner? and where did you get it?

also how does that weather stripping work for sealing the hood.

i have same hood and have been looking at doing something similiar.

like the quick straps too......

beautiful sled....

well done

Thats a pretty awsome build there bigjonk!!

For your ROV valve you can run a section of 3/4" hose off of the valve down towards the belly pan. This will help keep oil mist away from the top of your motor.
There can be a light mist that exits the breather hose during normal engine operation.
I like to use fuel vapor hose instead of heater hose. The fuel hose doesn't swell over time when exposed to oil mist, like heater hose can.

i'm not exactly sure who made the aircleaner, i picked it up from a swapmeet and thought i could use it sometime, it's a clean looking deal to put under a hood like this. may not be ideal if you had a stock hood. the weatherstrip is just a universal edge type weatherstrip, grips the edge of the aluminum airbox real tight and provides tight seal. i made flange on the edge of the sidecover also to hold the same weather strip, so it seals good. the rubber hood straps are early poo stuff. we'll get that rollover valve extension hose done right away.. sorry i forgot to mention the rollover valve, the belanger belt cover, lightweight battery, magna-force weights, too many things to remember. i'm still amazed at the difference that Skinz front suspension makes on pulling the sled up, it is less effort than my 09- M8 turbo.

Why ya gotta go and brag that front end up? LOL. I want it soooo bad! Thats a heavy price to pay for a new front end, ouch! Very nice, I wish it was my sled!

I am currently in West Yellowstone with this unit. this is way too much sled for a 60 yr old flatlander who only gets 2 weeks out here. it's posted in Arctic Cat swapmeet for someone else to fully utilize it.
