Flatlander in need of clutch help

The last two rides I have been having trouble with my clutch mainly when cold. I start it up and let it warm to about 110 before trying to move it but when i touch the gas it doesnt want to seem to go (clutch not engaged)and then when it does it will lurch ahead hard and either stall or keep rolling ahead until I grab the brake and then usually stall. The clutch is obviously not wanting to engage and then when it does it doesnt want to let go. Im not much of a clutch guy so where do I start to look for or fix the problem?

Your primary clutch is sticking. Mine did that a couple years ago. For some reason the taper on the back sheave or the sleeve bearing swelled up. I am way out in the middle of nowhere so had to do with what was available. While I was waiting for a new clutch I took a bit off the taper from the back sheave of the clutch with sandpaper but took a few hours and alot of sandpaper and it worked no problems. Actually didn't use the new clutch til a year later. Don't remember what grit of paper I used, sorry.

I would upload a pic of where I took some off but tried uploading and wouldn't work. Too big file I think. Hope this helps.

Primary sticking when cold

I am having kind of the same problem . My 05 900 primary sticks when very cold tell it warms up then it is fine . Anyone have idles on what that could be also what weights and spring should i be running in it . It is a 05 900 151 with slp built motor and all the slp options you can get . elevation between 8000 to 10000 . I am 6 1 and 220 pounds . It pulls real good but i think it could be even better . Running 80 belt for awhile and still looks great . Stock gears and chain i think it has the stock secondary also but havent checked it yet .

Ck the Sticky above for clutching tips. Usually regear the bigger tracks change helix and around 72.s for weight with NEW springs in both primary and secondary.
Did you clean them recently?
