Fixing torn lugs

Anyone have an idea to fix a tore lug? It is still connected at the base so all i need to do is peel it back and put something in there. Anyone had ideas, i searched and it came up with E 6000. Anyone have anything else??

Cut the lug off so it don't tear any further? The chemical way of things may work for a bit but how long it lasts would be pretty shot lived I would think?

glue it with super glue or a good rubber adhesive. Put a flat head screw into it from the other side of the track to hold it on while the glue dries, you can take the screw out when done or leave it in for support, won't hurt anything.

Secondchances, I didnt think of that sounds like a good idea, just wasnt sure how well the super glue would hold up becuase it sets hard and there isnt any flex to it at all.

E-6000

I've had good luck with the E-6000. Make sure track is dry. Bend the lug apart and spread the E-6000 in the tear. Pull the lug back into position, letting the glue ooze out and let it dry.

Has anyone came back to the lugs they have fixed a year later and seen what it's like? I just can't imagine anything holding it together after a season of use.

I'll check the product I have in my shop. I bought it to fix a track. The product is used to put commercial conveyor belts together. It's expensive and it a 2 part for vulcanizing.

There used to be a company that advertised in the magazines doing track paddle repair. They vulcanized on new paddles. I don't know if they are still around?
