Fixed strut or TSS for a build?

what are advantages/disadvantages?

looking for advise.

thanks

Once u ride one with Tss u wont want to ride the fixed strut.. at least that was my case. Rode my dads with fixed strut and thought it was good enough, then i bought a bike with Tss and wow i could pound the rough trail and when jumping off stuff it was nice and plush, just seems the bike and everything works great together! Do u plan to convert to dirt? It is kind of a PIA to swap air boxes on my husky when i put the dirt tires back on but worth it for me!

my plan at this time is to convert my FC450 to a dedicated snowbike and pick up a 250 or 300 2 stroke for the summer

That was my exact plan! Sold the 300 husky for 501 snowbike made the mistake and told the wife it can convert and do both.. once it came time to sell the 300 i didnt want to let it go and the wife held me to it lol.. but if i were u i would def go the Tss route, if ur a aggressive rider its a no brainer!

Not sure what kit you have but the ARO will work with out modifying the stock airbox,:face-icon-small-coo

can u elaborate? I am looking at an ARO 120 with TSS now.
Thought I would have to modify the box. (another reason why I want a dedicated snowbike)

The concept of the ARO is the ease of conversion, dirt to snow and back to dirt again. The lower mount for the strut or TSS is moved forward this allows the Fox TSS to clear the stock airbox. I do not no if this works on all bikes but it was the intent of the ARO design. It does clear on the newer KTM and Husky bikes. That was one of my gripes with the old design and the air box while cheap enough was not easy to change over. Looking forward to the simplicity of these. So go for the TSS if you can!
