Its a little late in the season, but I did come up with a pretty good fix for the intake iceing up. I put a 9" extension on it. Get a Ridgid vaccume extension tube from home depot and cut 9" from the small end. The K&N filter fits perfect over the small end and it is snug on the other end. I have about 10 rides with this and it has worked great. The main thing it did was get the intake away from powder coming over the hood and off the tips of the skis. The other benefit is that what little snow hits the prefilter easily falls off before it has time to melt from the heat and inturn create the water vapor which in my case was the biggest problem. It is not a bulletproof fix but it is night and day difference from what it was.
