Best access from the north is off Gooseberry Rd. which is a few miles east of Salina on I-70. Take that road south till you hit snow, parking area is about 5-6 miles off I-70. The riding area is big and has some cool terrain, biggest problem is the mtn is covered in Lava rock the size of minivans so unless you have over 6 feet of snow it is pretty sketchy in most places. The mtn gets over 6 feet almost every year, last year they had 7-8 feet mid season. I went last year around Christmas time and it was still sketchy. Look at the Farnsworth lake snotel to get a good idea of the conditions. Access from fish lake itself is fine just a longer drive is all. Snow is usually best on the north end of Fishlake complex.
