First to Ride Gold Creek

we rode up saturday about mid morning to find low snow at the upper sno park (where we unloaded - LOL). no other sled marks! but found good snow up top. Broke trail on the back side of the radio tower (headded down baker lake) to the superbowl - and this had the best snow of all the places we rode. from the bottom of skate park headded to swan lake got progressivly worse - the main trail was good, but the off trail to swan lake got worse. all the trails on the front of the radio tower and to the superbowl from the front side had good coverage for road riding.

we did run accross some razor riders - who were to say the least a bit tipsy - which was halarious!

"guys (speaking to us), do you know they passed a new law up here? no drinking at the radio tower!" <opens beer then starts to drink> LOL

and we have documentation of the first stuck of the season! XP FAIL - typical though

Ha! Very Nice, Fellas! Looks like what we rode on on a regular basis back in Ohio and Michigan! Brings back memories seein 6-8"s of snow.
We're in for a treat this week though with the snow level dropping to well under 2000' and gettin a some nice systems Wednesday on! See some of yas at Gold Creek or Schrieber's this Saturday!

i'm originally from MI, and when there was 4" of snow in the forecast it was time to load up and head to da UP! haha

well, i did say first to ride...but first to ride SNOWMOBILES at GC! haha.


we'll, his other (Non-abs) bag got thrashed last year (strap broke) and thats the only other bag he has right now.......

that rock has claimed victims before!! Had a buddy hit that thing on a night ride years ago....bam...right side trailing arm....a week later another friend picked up a used sled and what do you know...he his the same rock...left side trailing arm.....I go really slow around the backside if at all..almost the entire season!!!LOL...

yeah i figured there was about 5-8 feet up top so i decided to wear my abs bag....it was loaded too just in case. no my bag last year is trashed so i had to wear it if i wanted to bring anything with me up the hill. sorry im breaking the rule about there having to be a certain amount snow before i wear it.

oh big mama dont you worry! ryan and i have been getting ready. my little sled with both of us on it are going to highmark your 1000! just wait! we will do it in mccall where its steep and deep! and i have faith in mike! his sled is dialed in thanks to TNE
