***ged up.

I've heard about Hunter S. Thompson, so I put this flick on Netflix when he shot himself....just finally got here (it was buried in the list).

OK...Something was funny in there. Not sure what it was. It was a WEIRD movie. The bats right at the begining set the tone.

I didn't really get it. But then again, maybe you have to have done all those drugs at some point in your life to get it at all.

Did anyone think that Johnny Depp's character resembled Captain Jack Sparrow in more than one way? Hmmm, what a stretch. LOL

Not really necessary, but it helps. BTW you should be under some sort of influence when watching that movie.......... don't ask me how or why I know.;)

Need some :beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;?

great movie i think. if ya get a chance read any of H.S.T books. He got to ride along with the hells angles for a year or so to write a book about them. got into some crazy stuff. Reading his work is a trip all by its slef. alot of crazyness with tangents all over the place, then moments of clarity.

Johnny depp actualy lived with HST for a bit to get his part down. they were great friends, and johnny even footed the bill to shoot his ashes in the giant firework..... RIP brother!

Love that show. Kind of a downer in spots, but overall pretty d*mn entertaining. Reminds me of my college years.

"No point in mentioning these bats, I thought. Poor bastard will see them soon enough. "

Another weird one...

I enjoyed watching it, some weird parts, some you can relate too, the ether sniffing was a little off tho...Also a perfect use of the song White Rabbit in this film...

Anyone seen the movie "A Scanner Darkely" seems to be another you need to be under the influence to make sence of...

We were driving through Red Rock Canyon outside Las Vegas when they were filming Fear and Loathing. Had the car on a highboy trailer rigged with cameras all around. Couldn't find our rental Camry in the movie, must have been cut out.

By far one of the most bazaar movies I've ever seen although I didn't see the first 30 minutes. I just didn't get it.

If you read the book you'd get it better. The book is an excelent read too. HST was a brilliant writer and man. Depp nailed the part!!! no one else could have gotten it so good. Del Torro blew my mind in it as well. As your laywer I advise you to read the book. :) WHITE RABBIT! lol classic counter culture stuff.

Dr. Gonzo: [spills the cocaine] Jesus! You see what God just did to us, man?

Raoul Duke: God didn't do that, you did it. You're a f**king narcotics agent, I knew it!
