Be sure to checkout the Alexander Lodge located on the main SP trail.

Bar & restaurant open 7 days a week.
Breakfast to dinner on request.
Guide services, cabins, and an awesome staff.

Juggs, TML sits at 10,003 ft. Most all riding is between 9000 to 10,500 ft. I'll make sure your stay is a very pleasant one. We have everything you need here on a consistant basis. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Thanks, Mark

How is the snow right now?

Any recent snow or any on the way?

Is there any other place to stay up there, I can't get rooms for all the days I need?

Thanks

Can i ask why GML is you favorite?

Ok then, is there fuel close?

And it looks like we will have to do all of our own cooking, is this correct?

You can pm me if you prefer.

I have ridden Grand lake before but never up on the mesa.

Also, the other rider has a 2012 Assault Switchback 144 x 2, is that going to be enough track, we don't have to get to the top of everything just want to have a week of fun!

Thanks

In my opinion and we all know about those,

Grand Mesa has race fuel mix for 4 bucks something a gallon. No bar or restaurant though. I like the place for the owners, if you meet them you will know why. Also have motel rooms starting at 55 bucks.

Alexander in my opinion is the place to go eat. They have a bar and live music but it is way layed back and if you are a party animal might not be to your liking...see thundermountain lodge post below.

Thundermountain lodge is the place if bar and party life is more to your liking. Thundermountain lodge has a restaurant also.

Nice thing about Grand Mesa is there are great areas near most trails so if partner has limited sled he can play too just closer to the road...lol. Last trip a few weeks ago we didn't get more than 5 or 6 miles from the lodge as there were so many great play areas, we used up our time playing there.

Mark at the Thunder mountain lodge is an awesome host, we are headed there Thursday.

I would like to stay there, they don't have room for us until the 10th!
We didn't book anything because we want to go to good snow, not book a room and pray for snow! So now we have to pray for a room! lol!

Maybe we will see you out there, thanks for your help everybody!
More opinions are welcome!

We are leaving mn the morning of the 7th.

Thanks

Town of Cedaredge is about 16 miles down the hill from the lodge. They have a newer grocery store about half way through town on left hand side going south. Can't remember the name... Takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get there. Later

Thanks Skippy

are there lodges /places that sell gas through out the mesa ? wondering how much to carry

We stayed at Alexander Lake Lodge. They have a 500 gallon tank of 91 ethanol free gas. When we were there it was $4.00 a gallon. We were always within fifteen miles or so from the Lodge so we never carried extra gas on the sleds... Plus your riding at 10,000 feet minimum the whole time and your sled sips the fuel that high...

Electric Mtn lodge is very nice as well, all re-done since original blew up. They have gas & food and are very nice people to deal with. I love riding on the Mesa, usually get a but load of snow to boot.

BLEW UP?

Yes "Blew up" The original Electric Mtn Lodge had a gas leak and KA BOOM! flattened the place. Sadly I believe 3 grandchildren were killed in the blast. I was there almost exactly a month earlier with my wife, son, & inlaws. kinda freaky!
