First Time Out West

Bringing (3) first timers for (4) days of riding in two weeks. Our first day will be guided tour of Yellowstone NP and we're open for the next (3) days. While my guys are sled rookies, they're all avid gearheads and all ride dirtbikes, etc.

What are my "must do - must visit" places? Any particular trail we have to ride? Any special spot to visit? Any great place to boondock? Etc, etc.

We're staying in West Yellowstone. I'll post in Idaho forum as well.

Lionshead,Two-Top are common places. Big Sky trail depending on ability. It had bee awhile since I have ridden in Montana.

Lions Head, Two top and Mesa Falls are always cool places to see your first time out. It depends how much trail bashing you want to do, what kind of riding you like and what machines you're on.

for new riders, you chose a terrific spot to break them in.
Even for trail riding, there is a LOT of varied terrain for them to play and learn on.

Mount Two Top is great, and the Black Canyon Trail and the Black Bear Cutoff are usually some of the best snow in the area.

The East side of US 20 in IP has alot of groomed trails and easier riding with plenty of things to see.
West of the highway doesn't have much groomed and can get pretty technical pretty quick around Reas Peak, Sawtelle and Mount J
