First ride update

We got 12" of snow Friday night, and 4" on Saturday in the Western U.P. of Michigan. Couldn't help myself, so I took my 2013 Pro out for 40 miles along the
ditch. Here our my thoughts:
I have to admit I was a little nervous, with all of the negative reports and early season bashing..I know it is only 40 miles, but I am extremely impressed and happy with this sled. I am coming off a very well set up, lightly modded 09 Summit. I have ridden a 2011 Assault and 2012 Pro quite a bit, and that is why I switched.

First, I was very happy with the power this sled makes, and how it puts it on the snow. The belt drive really seems to make a difference, and the whole thing just feels efficient, smooth, and pulls hard.

The ergos and handling are fantastic, and it side hills so sweet. I will be playing with the shock setup a little to slightly lighten the front end up, but it is very close.

There was not enough base or snow to hit big jumps, but I did clear a couple of driveways(probably 20 - 25' long, 3-4 feet high) The sled flies perfect, and is easy to correct in the air. On one hit, I let off the throttle a little too soon on takeoff, and the nose dipped in the air. I bottomed out on landing with the throttle pinned, and it sucked it up pretty good......And, my driveshaft is just fine, thank you.

Belt, temps, quick drive belt, etc. all are perfect. I like the "turbo" whine from the quickdrive! I am VERY happy with the sled, and everyone should be pumped about their new pros, and look forward to riding them. Have Fun!

Glad you're happy with it! Also, I'm in the lower penninsula visiting family for a while, and if we don't get enough snow to ride on here soon, I'll be up to see yall in the UP.

Well that sled is a good choice for where you live. May want to consider the extra idler wheel kit if your going to ride any of the trails. We ride our Pros in Michigan much of the time and we just let the scratchers down when we get back to the trail.

Same here.
Thanks Yooper.
