First ride this year around Bozeman...

More of a reconnaissance mission than anything, that came into play over a few beers the night before. We geared up and got our iron steeds loaded for the beginning of winter 2009/2010 in a pursuit for fresh powder, sick lines, and well, a Christmas tree.

Well it wasn't long into the ride that the rigors of riding and limits being pushed too far claimed the first and only victim of the day. We bowed our heads, said our goodbyes, and pushed further into no-mans land as I bravely and courageously led my group into an area that was known to the natives to claim many victims. Some returned, some didn't... Although this was a risk that we were all willing to take, we soon learned later, it was in fact worth it. The powder was deep, the sleds were tuned and the riders were blessed from previous years of experience and talent not usually seen in these parts and therefore tamed the land in what we'll call a dance with precipitation. The rest, my good friends, is history............. almost literally. :beer;

The one has a mountain bar and a seat strap............Ohhh the duality of man. Those are awesome pics. The fact that those sleds may well have unloaded the Mayflower makes for an even more fitting Thanksgiving ride. Thats some great stuff.

My youngest son in transferring to MSU after the holidays. I will be bringing a few sleds and looking to see the Bozeman sights if any of you guys are up for it (this would be a little more of a modern iron ride) just to be clear. lol. I do have a '71 399 Puma around the shop yard somewhere, I just don't know where all the pieces are and I find the leopard skin seats make me chaffe. Seriously, dinner and brewski's on me if anyone or the group wants to show us around in Jan or Feb. Looking forward to seeing Bozeman. EW

Sounds like fun. I don't mind riding with new people even if it means I have to ride my big sled.

Old iron!!!

Could be a good time and now that I have a good spare,"76 panther" and its proven itself I know I will be able to go even if the big one is down. Ha ha.:beer;

Good job boys! And Fawn! Wish I could have joined you for that mission! I think we may have to bring the vintage iron out a couple times this year! Does Bozeman know what's coming this weekend?:beer;
