First ride on my 900 in 3 years

Hey all just need to vent a little excitement I just got my 900 fusion running and went out and put 30 miles on trouble free. I havnt rode it in 3 years I just put the 06 pistons in it I am hitting 7450 for my max rpm and 80 mph track speed with the 121x2 and 20 37 gearing. i am running an slp green pink spring and 10-76 weights and a red black spring with a 66-44-46 helix. The belt and clutches are getting a bit warm though I was wondering if changing to the red pink spring will help them stay a bit cooler?

would not think it.....but maybe. how are you on venting that area??

shock tower vent consoule vent side panel vents and slp torque arm and good motor mounts

Have your springs been sitting in there for 3 years or are they new?

springs are new as well

i would lower the weight in the clutch..10-76's are pretty heavy for a stock 900. maybe use 10-74 at most.

the red/pink spring is a good spring but the black/white is best, the red/pink is great for the 06 700 tho.

the belt heat can be from an incorrect belt deflection (belt tension), slippage from dirty/glazed belt, dirty clutch sheaves, or cracked motor mounts causing the engine to twist

the motor mounts are brand new 30 miles on them brand new belt washed before use clutches just were cleand 30 miles on them switching from the black red to red black spring made a huge difference in belt temps though thats why I was wondering about the red pink
