First ride of the season

Rode at Bachelor out of Dutchman(not across the flats) down the highway to Todd Lake Trail and up to Moon Mt.. Just enough to feel like we really tore it up.

just bought a new puter and downloading pics is a whole lot diferent than it used to be. I have alot more, some better, it was the photogs first attempt at snow action shots. I will post more tonite, if anyone is interested.

There was just enough to cover the trails and roads good. Definitely not enough to feel confident venturing off trail very far. Had a couple new motors that needed some break-in miles, the ride worked very well for that.

Yup, it has dropped another six or seven inches since sunday, it's gettting better. First year in aloooong time I didn't break a rock or stump with my sled on the first ride!

just heard elk lake resort is opening this weekend. hope to see lots of turnout . has anyone ridden the hwy to the lake yet? if so how was the snow?

What happened to the plan to log the back side of Elk Lake and plow the loop road clear for trucks until Dec 1?

Elk Lake Logging

According to the Forest Service they are going to only cut one side of the highway and leave the other half open for snowmobiles. There should be no interruption to Elk Lake. The logging is going on as we speak.
