First Ride of the Season at Diamond!!!

What a first ride of the season for us today! We had heard the Diamond Lake area was getting snow and had seen the few pics from you folks on here so we thought we would give it a shot today and check it out. Not expecting a whole lot, and not having high expectations, we were stoked when we pulled into Three Lakes snowpark. Plenty of snow to ride in all directions and a lot of fresh, untouched powder! Weather was great, snow was great (for this time of year anyways), and although my 800 Dragon took a crap on me, my wifes 600 Shift ran flawlessly. Overall, it was a darn good 1st ride of the season. Can't wait for more!!!!

We were there too! We put in at the Hilltop shop and went towards Dog Prairie. What a great first day!

Hey diva, do you guys have a red enclosed snowmobile trailer by chance? We made the loop around the lake and through the parking areas and saw a lone red trailer at the Hilltop shop. Just curious if it was you guys. Snow was a tad sparse down low but overall, definitely worth getting excited for. Just looked at the weather forecast and it's showing 4 straight days of snow down here in Klamath (tue-fri). Thinking about hittin' Diamond again next Sunday (weather and snow permitting). Keep doing that snow dance cause it's working!!!

No, we have the grey GMC duramax that was lonely up there too but our friends had the enclosed trailer. Can't wait to go again but probably not until Thanksgiving weekend for us.

just a thought?

Mikey, I have rode with you and i am thinking that you didn't want to wreck the 8 so you took the shift besides your banchee doesn't get out of the trailer so why should the Dragon. I would say that you look good but I know what you drive.

P.S. Quinn was right about the lift and wheels.

Your HERO

Oh Brett,

Someday your wife will let you outta the house to ride! But until then, keep drinkin' your beer and fixin' all the cars and trucks that Donald wrecks!!!!

On a serious note, Dave says it may be my gas cause he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Even though my other sleds ran great with older gas than what was in the Dragon, I seriously hope he is right! I guess we will find out soon.

P.S. Quinn only knows what Paula tells him to know!!!!

Your Daddy:beer;

mikey, the picture of me turned out good. can you cut out the ugly guy next to me next time. good ride. jim

Jim,

It looks to me like you had a hell of a time fitting your d@mn beard inside your helmet!!!!! hahaha!!!

By the way, the creek flowing next to the cabins makes a heck of a difference. It sure is nice to see the water again!:D

I want to thank everyone who stayed away from Diamond Lake today. Thigh deep powder and the roads all to ourselves. Snowed all day and coming down hard when we left. Over 36" at bear creek. Turbo is tuned and ripping!

I'm with all you who are actually out there riding! Roads ain't the greatest by any means, but it sure beats the hell out of sitting at home and wishing there was enough snow to hillclimb! Right?????

I was gonna hit Diamond today but went to Medicine Lake instead. It was pretty good. About 3" to 4" in the snowpark and a good foot and half up a little higher. Attempted some boondocking and made it quite a ways but we soon realized that the trip could get real expensive real quick if we didn't calm down and head back to the roads. Oh well, we did almost 50 miles on untouched powder all day long!

Also hit Crater Lake area yesterday. Down low was rough but up high there was between 12" and 18" of untouched paradise! By days end, my odometer read 94.5 miles!!! My @ss was killin' me! But, beats sittin' on the couch!

So far, so good! Diva needs to keep doing her snow dance cause it seems to be working!!!:beer;:)

we tore up hoodoo yesterday, enough pow up there to do some selective boondocking and we ripped sand mt. and yes there was some carnage involved!!!

I'm still dancing!

The hubby and kid hit Diamond yesterday but I worked at my friends golf course all weekend for a tournament they were having so I missed out! At least I got to ride last weekend so I don't feel too bad about missing one day since it's really early in the season. Golf clubs are put away now!:beer;
