First ride for the wife on her new sled.

She went from a 03 700 151 ZX with rer, to a 06 800 HO,X, 144-16, e,start , rer. Well she bought this sled last year but never got to ride it till today. Mostly road ride ...low snow...but she did some climbing once up high. Road it all day it was good, never whined at me to start the sled, was one of the first in our group to say lets go when we stoped to catch our breath. She really likes the REV platform, and the e,start is a great deal for ME,LOL. Happy sleden everyone...Dino

Yuppers we've been riding together now for twenty years or so, she traded sleds with me...mines a 02 800... for a bit , didn't take very long and she wanted hers back, when we traded she said something to the effect" your sled is a piece of s^!t" Oh well cant please em all. Dino

Glad your girlfriend likes her new sled.Updated to an 07 RMK 6 for the wife and she loves it.It has made her a much better rider in just 200 miles:)Now if I can just get her to get her act together in the morning, so we can can get to the lot quicker;)

wifes sled

Glad to hear your wife likes the sled. i have taken my wife from a zx 600 144 to an 05 600sdi 136x16. going to the rev made a big change in her riding ability. now i going to pick up her new xp 800 146. will do a few mods to it, She will now have estart and a its brand new. i hope she likes it. it will be lighter that her rev with more power but i know she will miss the sdi. I have to admite the choke is a pain in the *** again. now waiting for some time to go get her sled.
good luck

It is amazing how the rev chassis instills confidence in riders. GF went from a 00 700 zx to a 05 800 rev, and talk about becoming a much better rider!!! From the trails, through the trees, and up the hills. She can climb like a billy goat, just doesn't care for coming down!!!! Wonderful to have someone that share the passion foe sledding that I do!!! Any guys that want to spend more time riding the sleds then staying home, get your wife, gf, or daughters involved, you will have riding partners for life!!!

AMEN, and don't get them a piece of junk , that move will bite ya in the backside. If they have to fight a heavy , no power ,no traction, sled they wont want to go. The wife, the daughter love to ride. Go any where I go, or at least try, and they never give up. Dino

It's always great when you wife/GF rides also.
You always have someone to ride with and it gives you both something to look forward to.

wifes ride

I got the wifey an M6 last year and she is "chomping at the bit" to go riding with the new snow we've gotten. It was too early last w/e.
When she had a 500 powder special she just sat down and rode the trails
last ride last season she was standing up trying new stuff and having lots of fun. The newer lighter sleds are Great for women.
I like the e-start thing. Maybe next year.....
I love riding with my wife. It is exciting to see her progress as a rider.

So far my wife isn't liking her 03 ProX 700, she likes it, but she says it seems unstable. I managed to trade her part way through a ride so I could play on the ProX, so she took my 97 RMK 700, it's loud(twin SLP pipes, so she doesn't like that) but she said it seemed alot more stable, mixed riding packed/loose snow/small hills.

nice.

I seem to have found the only drawback to this situation.... We (her and I) go on Sundays, that's the way it has always been.. I try to go with the guys on Saturdays, of which I am running out of riding buddies????. Now she also wants to go on Sat's, now I am not totally opposed to this, but she is just not ready. At least not for the nonstop stuck, digging out, half lost, should we drop in, yeah, woops, got your shovel, kinda time me and the boys like to have. I guess one or two of these trips for her and we'll see what she thinks... She's gonna have to graduate some time I guess... Anyone else have this issue???

I hear ya wing nut. My wife loves to go but she is slower than hell...I put up with it till the boys go. I get double wammied becuase I have kids and they always want to go. Then they ride with me. I wish this preschooler and first grader will drive there own very very soon.
