First Ride, First Crash!

Went up into the back country with some skier buddies above Fairy Lake, near Bozeman, MT. Was about an hour into my first ride of the season, and first ever in the back country with my new (to me) sled when I found buried treasure in the form of a boulder that I wasn't paying attention to! Control arms and shock both bent beyond use. Thankfully another guy on a sled came and helped me take off my ski and I rode her down on one. Was an eye opening experience and really glad to have not been too far from my truck. Will try to be more careful in the future! Still feel like an idiot for wrecking on my first ride, but hey it happens to all of us.

That's why it's nicknamed "break-it creek". Awesome riding there, just have to be super careful, especially this early!!

They call that early nobase light fluffy stuff that's out there right now ''Dealer Snow''. The dealers will love you for being so enthusiastic about riding early. LOL

Ken...............

Oh yea, the dealer guys were all smiles! It was a lot of fun though, I have ridden dirtbikes my whole life and finally got a mountain sled, TOTALLY DIFFERENT. I was so sore after!

Ahhhh, more have now been converted. HAHA.

Welcome to sledding.

Those sore muscles only mean one thing...your non-sled buddies will also be edjamucated on how much of a workout sledding is.

:)

Early season riding....she'll get ya everytime!

At least it didn't look like a bad impact for you (sled is another story).

Early snow reminds me of tip toeing into my old GF house trying to avoid her dad. You know its dangerous and a good chance its going to cost yah but you keep on hitting it............(snow that is):face-icon-small-ton

Bummer, sorry to see that, but like ya said, we've all been there. Ive had days when there probably wasnt enough snow and Ive broken stuff, but you know what.................Worth it ;)

PS, Loved my M-Series sled, wait til you get the counter steering figured out, Its going to change your world! Happy shreddin!

Your brave for going into bracket creek this early. I admire your confidence. Lol. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Next time when you're heading for a rock don't keep the skis turned like that, hop onto the opposite running board and pull that ski out of the snow. Probably would have saved you a couple hundred bucks.

This is sledding spend and learn lol.
