first gen maxtrak. opinions

They have good deep powder performance, little softer lug on the harder conditions.

I have a couple used for sale if interested. Not sure if I have a 129 tho. I can check.

thinking about upgrading my track on my TS. want a 129. just want to here reviews of the maxtrak from last year.

What year TS do you have? If it's a convex track, don't do it! In any type of heavier snow, a ST convex TS track will hook up better than a 129 (and probably a 137) Maxtrack. Rode a 137 yeti last year in early april and traction was terrible because of that track. 120 Convex would out-hook it easily. I would wait to see if new yeti track is better or upgrade to a new style Timbersled track.

Right now the best track out there is the TS 2.5 Convex.... hands down. As HRP noted the original MaxTrak was downright terrible in anything but big fluff... the Convex just walked all over it. Spring riding with a couple Yeti guys last year was almost dangerous they were losing traction at times and washing out in some sketchy terrain.

Ya we rode with a 129 yeti and in powder it worked well anything other then powder it was a complete disaster.

We also had a guy with a 129 on a TS and before he even got a chance to ride it too many times he stabbed the track with a rail and wrecked it. I wouldnt run a Yeti track on a TS without antistab kit.

the 16 yeti track is significantly better than anything else in powder. it does well everywhere else. only place i had an issue was on a sun crust etc.
