Fire N Ice Split down the side

This is my 3rd season on this , lated last year I noticed these verticel cracks on the side. I taped it up, rode it yesterday it split open again.

My mounts are good , it doesn't over heat.

Is this common ? Is it a flaw.

I guess I could remove the tape for a better Pic.

First one that I have seen split. I would call paul up at Fire N Ice and see what he has to say. He's a great guy to deal with so I'm sure he will help you out. If you don't want to wait I'm sure he can give you an idea as to what adhesive to use on the seam

I had a similar issue on the intake for my 600 a few years ago. I drilled the ends of the cracks so it wouldn't keep splitting, drilled a few holes on each side of the splitting and stitched it with zip ties to add strength to that spot, and then sealed it back up with jb weld. after that I recovered it with heat tape and I never had another issue with it....
